Stranger Things' Maya Hawke announces debut album with lead cut "By Myself"
Stranger Things' Maya Hawke has announced her debut album Blush, alongside sharing the lead single "By Myself".
"By Myself" is Hawke's first new single since last year's "Stay Open" and "To Love a Boy" tracks, which will also feature on Blush.
The new single arrives with a dazzling visual directed by Amanda Kramer that sees Hawke singing in cowboy, angel, and princess outfits.
According to Pitchfork, Hawke says the new single is "about projecting ideas you have about yourself onto other people".
Of her debut LP, she adds, "This album happened accidentally. From my point of view, Blush is a collection of secret messages, hidden communications with the people in my life."
Hawke will also be donating proceeds made from the Blush merch to the Food Bank for New York City.
