The two new headliners will join Liam Gallagher to headline both festivals this summer.

Other acts announced in the first wave of names include Migos, slowthai, Mahalia, IDLES, AJ Tracey, Fontaines DC, Easy Life, Two Door Cinema Club, Declan McKenna, JPEGMAFIA, girl in red, Beabadoobee, Denzel Curry, Danny Brown, Sports Team, and others.

Back in November 2019, Liam Gallagher announced he was headlining both festivals ahead of the organisers.

The festivals are also facing criticism online due to the lack of female performers on the 2020 lineup so far. Reading and Leeds have only hosted a few female headliners since its first year in 1961 - Patti Smith in 1978, Björk in 1995, and Paramore's Leeds headline slot in 2014.

Reading and Leeds Festivals 2020 take place from 28-30 August. Visit readingandleedsfestival.com for tickets and more information.
