Spotify to launch free mobile service

It’s being reported that music-streaming platform Spotify are set to announce a new, free mobile subscription tier.

The service, expected to launch at a press event on 11 December, will allow users to stream a limited number of songs on-demand, as well as access their radio station functions.

This comes after the company recently struck up new licensing deals with major labels.
