Having recently been more active with indie supergroup Divine Fits, Britt Daniel looks to have now reunited with Spoon again for the release of an upcoming new album.
The record will be the band’s eighth and first since 2010′s Transference. Recording is said to have started in March/April, with recent Instagram photos suggesting that the LP is now in the mixing process.
Daniel told SPIN that the songs have “slightly more soul than the last record”, as well as being “slightly more R&B”. He added that there’s also some “instrumental songs” on the album.
A series of song titles have been revealed too, including ones called “The Rent I Pay” and “Naff Bag”. More details on the LP as we have it.
