Spector preview new album with second single "Funny Way Of Showing It"
Spector have unveiled new song "Funny Way Of Showing It" as a second preview of their first album in six years Now Or Whenever.
Following last month's lead single "Catch You On The Way Back In", Spector are back with a second taster of Now Or Whenever, titled "Funny Way Of Showing It".
Now Or Whenever will be Spector's first album in six years, after 2015's Moth Boys.
Progress on Now Or Whenever started in spring 2020 when the pandemic began, and saw lead vocalist Fred Macpherson and Jed Cullen work with friends and collaborators both online and in person when they could. The final tracks for Spector's new album were recorded at the start of 2021 at Liverpool's Coastal Sound by Rich Turvey (Blossoms, The Coral). The upcoming album also marks their first record with live instrumentation, and saw the drums recorded on 30-year-old tape by Nicolas Py.
