Soulwax announce From Deewee, their first studio record in over 10 years
Soulwax have announced From Deewee, a brand new studio album recorded in just one take just a few days ago.
The album was recorded at DEEWEE in Ghent, Belgium - the studio owned by the pair, aka Stephen and David Dewaele. Although they've released a lot in recent years, including a soundtrack for last year's Belgica film and a bunch of remix releases, this will be their first proper record since 2005's Nite Versions.
"Based on the 'Transient Program For Drums And Machinery' which began touring in the summer of 2016, we set out to record these songs live with the exact same setup, machines, and musicians as we had on the road", say Soulwax of the process.
As well as the Dewaele bros., Stefaan Van Leuven, Iggor Cavalera, Victoria Smith, Blake Davies, and Laima Leyton all contribute to the music.
