Long-lasting compilation series, Now That’s What I Call Music! has been purchased by Sony after regulatory approval by the European Commission.
The move comes as Universal sought to sell the brand following their merger with EMI, who previously owned the European rights.
In other news, it’s being reported that compilation sales in general are up 11.8% in the first quarter of the year, after rising 7.2% in 2012.
Now, which started back in 1983, released their 84th edition in March.
