Some people are really not happy with Stormzy headlining Glastonbury 2019

People are really pissed off that Stormzy's headlining their beloved Glasto, huh?

The grime MC, the first British rapper to headline the Worthy Farm bash, will take to the vaunted Pyramid Stage on 28 June. It's going to be incredible.

But not everyone's gassed about the decision to have the rapidly rising UK talent top the biggest festival stage in the world - it's the kind of anger usually reserved for the likes Kanye West or Jay-Z when they headline the festival. Hmm.

Fortunately there are plenty of people to skewer them in the Very Public Arena of Twitter. Here's some choice sass for your perusal:

Stormzy last performed at Glastonbury in 2017 on the Other Stage, and was amazing then as well.

Elsewhere he has been busy releasing his new autobiography on his new Penguin publishing imprint collaboration #Merky Books, and has the first independent title arriving next year. He's also started a Cambridge University scholarship fund for Black And Minority Ethnic (BAME) students.

The Cure, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and The Beach Boys have topped betting odds over summer with potential to headline the 2019 festival.

Although Worthy Farm took 2018 off to recharge from hosting nearly 200,000 people, 2017 saw the Foo Fighters, Radiohead and Ed Sheeran headline the Pyramid Stage.

Glastonbury takes place 26-30 June 2019 at Worthy Farm in Somerset. Tickets for next year's event sold out in just 36 minutes.
