SOHN announces debut album Tremors, shares new track “Artifice”
Electronic musician SOHN has signed to 4AD for his debut album release, entitled Tremors.
Tremors will drop on 7 April, preceded by lead cut “Artifice”. You can watch the video for that track below and get it as a free download when you pre-order the record.
“Artifice” brings another string to the producer’s bow, with a genuinely infectious chorus. “Somebody better let me know my name / before I give myself away” he swoons in this most upbeat outing to date. None of the character and ghostly passion that we have come to love is missing though, as his immaculate vocal still cries out above busy, gently industrial electronic production and playful vocal samples that hark back to “The Wheel”.
With an appropriately haunting video, featuring the man himself, this new cut continues to establish his place as the leading producer in this ever-expanding field of dark electro.
