Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has raised $60,000 in aid of cat charity PAWS Chicago by auctioning a private concert to one lucky winner.
As the Chicago Tribune reports, Corgan teamed with chef Curtis Duffy for what they’re calling a “Night of Folly” – basically involving a dinner party and private show for a gang of twelve guests.
The highest bidder spent 60k as part of a silent auction at the charity’s annual Fur Ball gala. This is the second consecutive year Corgan has participated in the event.
