SLUG unshackles sonic beast "Cockeyed Rabbit Wrapped In Plastic"
SLUG has just released his debut single for free download. It's a corker.
"Cockeyed Rabbit Wrapped In Plastic" is ebullient math-y noise. Combining Sparks' macabre eccentricity with Marmaduke Duke's frivolous axe mayhem and R&B falsetto, it's a bewitching - if not utterly bonkers - opening gambit.
Ian Black, formerly of Field Music is the mastermind behind SLUG. Live, he's backed by David and Peter Brewis, Andrew Lowther and Rhys Patterson.
