Slow Club bring the majesty to End Of The Road 2015
At what the band proclaim as "maybe our last gig of the year", Slow Club honoured their long history with End Of The Road through a magnetic performance earlier today.
"We're back!" Rebecca Taylor proclaims as the band start their set. "We played this festival, like, ten years ago. They've finally let us back in!" A lot has changed since the duo performed at the Bimble Inn (a 100 capacity tipi). Now on the main Woods Stage, Slow Club demonstrate the music that makes them so enduring.
From old favourites like "Our Most Brilliant Friends" to new numbers such as "Where The Light Gets Lost", the band are as entertaining as they are enchanting. "I met some people earlier on called Steve, and Beth. They asked if we'd play "Gold Mountain" 'cause it helped them through getting pregnant," Charles Watson describes. "We're not gonna play it, I just wanted to say hello."
From their magnetising ballads to tracks that had the band dancing and climbing around the stage, Slow Club put on a show that was very much a celebration. Nine years since their first appearance at the event, and a decade since the festival started, Slow Club's spirit is every bit befitting of the occasion.
