Sky Ferreira to self-release debut album on vinyl
Alt-pop singer, Sky Ferreira releases her debut album this week but anybody hoping to pick up a vinyl copy will be sorely disappointed, for the time being.
Night Time, My Time drops after much delay, with Ferreira taking to Facebook to post a now-deleted rant at her label, Capitol Records, for refusing to release the LP on vinyl format.
Ferreira wrote: “vinyl won’t be made in time for the album release… Due to certain people at my label that aren’t capable of (interested in) doing what they’re supposed to do,” before continuing: “I’m in the process of making it myself. Hold tight.”
Meanwhile, you can watch the musician team up live with Cat Power for an Elliott Smith cover here.
