Sky Ferreira pulls out of Vampire Weekend live dates
-
Citing doctor’s orders on her Facebook page, Sky Ferreira is taking a temporary break from touring with Vampire Weekend due to an illness affecting her vocal chords.
“My doctor has prescribed several days of total vocal rest”, she writes. “Sadly, the timing will force me to miss this week’s shows with Vampire Weekend. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused for the band and fans. I’m doing my best to re-join the tour as soon I’m 100%”
Pitchfork report that the singer later tweeted ”I’ll be back by Monday”, but as this has since been deleted it is not know how long the recovery will take.
Ferreira’s long-awaited debut album, Midnight, My Time drops 29 October. She was recently arrested for alleged drug possession.
