Sky Ferreira and Primal Scream join forces for "Where The Light Gets In"
Sky Ferreira and Primal Scream have revealed their collaborative single "Where The Light Gets In".
The track features on Chaosmosis, Primal Scream's upcoming 11th studio album.
Speaking about the collaboration, Ferreira says: "The reason I like working with them is because there's absolutely no pressure. It's nice to walk in somewhere and they're not like, 'Okay, your label is harassing me about this and that.' I set it up without anyone else involved, so we just sit and write in a room and there's no pressure... it's also just really cool talking to [frontman Bobby Gillespie]! Jesus and Mary Chainis one of my favourite bands ever, so at first I was a little nervous. It’s really nice to meet with someone and not be disappointed by it, to have them meet every expectation."
"Where the Light Gets In" is co-produced by Gillespie, Andrew Innes, and Peter Bjorn and John's Bjorn Yttling.
Ferreira isn't the only special guest on the record: Haim appear on both "100% or Nothing" and "Trippin' on Your Love", while Cat's Eyes' Rachel Zeffira appears on "Private Wars".
Chaosmosis is out 18 March on the band’s own First International via Ignition Records. It follows 2013's More Light.
