Skepta and Jorja Smith revealed as headliners for Field Day in first wave announcement
Skepta and Jorja Smith are revealed as headliners for London's Field Day festival as they uncover the first wave of acts.
Having secured a new location for this year's festival, London's Field Day has started the year by revealing the first wave of artists joining them in Meridian Water, North London.
Skepta and Jorja Smith will be headlining this year's two-day event, with Skepta taking the Friday slot, and Jorja Smith on the Saturday.
The grime legend will be joined on Friday by the likes of Deerhunter, Bonobo, Boy Azooga, Earl Sweatshirt, Julia Holter, Jungle, Kelly Lee Owens, Methyl Ethyl, Modeselektor, Pip Blom, and many more.
Soul singer Jorja Smith will share the Saturday bill with Diplo, MorMor, Octavian, Pusha T, Sinkane, HAAi, Erol Alkan, and more.
Speaking about her headline slot, Smith offers, "So amazing to be playing Field Day this year. I can’t wait to play my first festival headline slot. It’s going to be so much fun!"
The new site is a 10-acre plot situated near Tottenham Marshes, and has four interlinked warehouses on site. The new location is also a hotspot for Enfield Council, who are looking to make Meridian Water a proper community.
