Sink Ya Teeth announce second album with lead single "The Hot House"
Sink Ya Teeth are back with news of their second album Two, alongside sharing the lead single "The Hot House".
"The Hot House" is Sink Ya Teeth's first single since their 2018 self-titled debut album, and is the first to be shared from their second LP Two.
Maria Uzor of Sink Ya Teeth says of the new single, "There’s a lot of polarisation in the world at the moment. The lyrics are about striving for unity in the face of that division. And having a good time while we do it. We’ve all got so much more in common than we think we have. Let’s just have a dance ffs."
The accompanying video for "The Hot House" features footage filmed at the last-minute around a gig at Oxford's Fusion Arts Centre. Uzor adds, "We’d originally shot another video with a director, and we got the edit through last weekend but we really didn’t like it and felt that it couldn’t be used. We were in Oxford at the time, about to play a gig and pulling our hair out with literally days to the video deadline. In proper last-minute fashion, we decided to shoot some footage on our phones of that night and get the audience at the venue (Fusion Arts Centre) to shoot some stuff too and email it over. Super quick editing by Gemma so the whole thing was knocked up in a couple of days. You don’t get much more DIY than that."
