Shoes And Socks Off ready new album, full band tour and 10 videos
The ever prolific Tobias Hayes is back. After the unfortunate demise of Meet Me In St Louis and his departure from Shield Your Eyes, he’s been busy racking up solo songs under the guise of Shoes and Socks Off.
Having produced nearly 50 songs, these are all going to see the light of day on a new 3CD collection called Don’t Blame Yourself, It’s In Your Blood, which was released last month on Big Scary Monsters. However, that’s not all, he’s readying a new album called Robin Hood Waiter Champion Have-Not (great title), set for release on the 9th August.
To mark the albums release a new video is being produced and uploaded each week until early August. The set of 10 were produced for a total budget of less than £5 and the opening trio are now available to be streamed via Youtube, featuring beautiful animations, lots of hair and a few hundred photographs included:
‘Spit/Shake’
‘Smithereens’
‘Psychological Tinnitus’
We’ve also got the exclusive release of the latest video for the really quite lovely track ‘I Hope You Know What You’re Doing’:
Ahead of this release you’ll be able to catch Shoes And Socks Off on their debut full band tour. Featuring members of Talons, On Histories Of Rosenburg, Palehorse and Nitkowski on drums, bass, keyboard and two violins, they’ll be appearing live on the below dates.
