shesaid.so announce international conference MEETSSS to celebrate fifth anniversary
shesaid.so will celebrate their fifth anniversary with a new international conference called MEETSSS, which will take place later this year in Portimão, Portugal.
The event will welcome speakers such as Chidera Eggerue, aka The Slumflower, Oronike Odeleye, the co-founder of muteRKelly, Alison Wenham, former CEO at AIM and WIN, and many more.
MEETSSS will, according to a press release, embody shesaid.so's core beliefs, "collaboration, diversity and inclusion; focus on personal and professional growth for female-identifying professionals in the music industry; nurture community among music executives and creatives of all genders; and showcase the work of women, non-binary and other underrepresented talent in the music business."

The conference will cover topics such as personal and professional growth, intersectionality, diversity and inclusion, starting and running your own business, mentorship and community, mental health and wellbeing, solutions to address workplace harassment and misconduct, and more.
Body positivity influencer Eggerue said of the new conference, "I am honored to be part of a list that celebrates diversity, rebellious thinking, and non-traditional careers and backgrounds. Community (this year's theme) is important to me- not only because of the social media network I have built through connecting with those who resist social norms but also the Peckham neighbourhood I grew up in, keeping me grounded in my Nigerian roots."
The event will also see a series of live performances from local and international artists, and activities such as yoga classes, traditional Chinese tea ceremonies, cinema screenings, wine tastings, and boat trips.
