Sharon Van Etten is sharing her demo version of "Remembering Mountains", her interpretation of a previously-lost Karen Dalton song.

The track features on a new compilation, which also features Marissa Nadler, Julia Holter, Laurel Halo and more, bringing Dalton's unheard/unfinished songs to a 21st century audience.

Van Etten has aired the track to celebrate what would have been Dalton's 78th birthday (19 July).
