Sharon Van Etten announces sixth album We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong
Sharon Van Etten has shared details of her upcoming sixth album We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong, which is due for release next month.
News of Van Etten's new album follows last month's "Used To It" and February's "Porta", neither of which will feature on We've Been Going About This All Wrong.
Van Etten has also shared a 44-second trailer for the album, which will follow 2019's Remind Me Tomorrow.
We've Been Going About This All Wrong is co-produced with Daniel Knowles, and saw Van Etten record and engineer much of the album herself from her custom studio in her family’s LA home.
Van Etten says of the album, "I wanted to approach this release differently, to engage my fans in an intentional way, in an effort to present the album as a whole body of work. These ten songs are designed to be listened to in order, at once, so that a much larger story of hope, loss, longing and resilience can be told."
