A number of HMV’s store tipped for closure have announced they will stay open, as the music retail chain continue to struggle against financial insecurity.
Several branches, specifically in Edinburgh, Leamington, Nuneaton and Newport, have announced that – despite news reports stating otherwise – they are indeed “here to stay”.
Some of the shops have even taken to putting signs and notices in their windows to calm fears of local music buyers.
Music Week report that HMV’s administrators, Deloitte have been in talks with financial restructuring group Hilco about how to save more stores.
