Secret 7”, the annual event that gets the world’s leading artists to design one-off record sleeves for charity, has announced some of the headline sleeve designers for 2015.

Names confirmed so far include: Sir Peter Blake, Yoko Ono, Julian Opie, David Shrigley, Martin Parr, Sir Paul Smith and more. They will be designing unique sleeves for artists such as The Rolling Stones, St. Vincent and The Chemical Brothers.

The concept of Secret 7” involves taking seven iconic tracks and pressing each to vinyl 100 times. The 700 records then get individual sleeves, which are then exhibited in a month-long exhibition at Somerset House from 10 April. On 4 May all records go on sale to the general public at £50 each. The ‘secret’ lies herein, as buyers will not know who has designed the sleeve, or the vinyl it contains until after they have purchased it.

For more information on the event, including an opportunity to record your own vinyl at Somerset House, visit the Secret 7" website.

Secret 7” was launched in 2012, supported by Universal Music. They are joined as partners in 2015 by Monotype and WeTransfer. All profits from the sale go to this year’s charity partner Nordoff Robbins, a music therapy charity dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults.
