Scroobius Pip joins XFM for weekly radio show
Rapper Scroobius Pip, of ‘Dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip’ fame, is set to join alternative radio station XFM later this month.
The hip-hop musician will link up with the station for a weekly show onlate-night slot on Saturdays, beginning 27 April at midnight.
The show, entitled The Beatdown, will feature hip-hop and spoken-word recordings, say CMU.
Scroobius Pip had the following to say of the news:
“The chance to work with Xfm was one I couldn’t pass up. It’s the station that launched my career and, through amazing people like John Kennedy and Eddy Temple-Morris, has always been at the forefront of giving exposure to new sounds. Hip hop is such a deep genre and, through my show, I want to shine a light on some of the stuff that maybe doesn’t get enough of it”.
