School Of Seven Bells to release posthumous album, share new video
Earlier this week, School Of Seven Bells released the last recording of late guitarist Benjamin Curtis, a cover of Joey Ramone’s “I Got Knocked Down (But I’ll Get Up)”. Now, surviving member Alejandra Deheza has detailed plans to release an entire new LP.
As Consequence Of Sound reports, the pair were working on a new album before Curtis was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer in 2013. Deheza is now looking to finish that record and to release it in Curtis’ honour.
Meanwhile, Deheza has also unveiled a video for the Joey Ramone cover, airing here. “Benjamin always held the desert very close to his heart,” Deheza says of the clip. “It was a really important place to him. I’m glad we were able to shoot this video where we did, for him.”
Curtis passed away last December.
