Sam Smith, Straight Outta Compton, Amy, Jóhann Jóhannsson among Oscar nominees
Sam Smith, The Weeknd, and Lady Gaga are among the nominees for Best Original Song at this year's Academy Awards.
Smith is nominated for his track "Writing's On The Wall", the theme for recent James Bond flick Spectre.
Last year Jóhann Jóhannsson was nominated for his work on The Theory Of Everything; he spoke to us at length about his score.
Straight Outta Compton has been nominated for Best Original Screenplay, while Amy Winehouse documentary AMY and Nina Simone documentary What Happened, Miss Simone? are up for Best Documentary Feature.
