
Sam Mehran, formerly of dance-punk band Test Icicles, dead at 31
Sam Mehran, who was a founding member of Dev Hynes' dance-punk group Test Icicles, has died aged 31.
The former Test Icicles member was also part of Outer Limits Recordings and Matrix Metals.
News of Mehran's death was announced on 29 July through Zak Mering of GunkTV Records' Instragram. The cause of death hasn't been revealed. He died aged 31.
The label released Mehran's alias Outer Limits Recordings' Birds, Bees, Babys, Bacteria album on cassette in 2016.

Mehran emerged with Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) and Rory Attwell in Test Icicles in 2004/05, before forming a short-lived hip-hop group with Dev Hynes called NLS Crew in 2005.
