Sam Duckworth announces new album Amazing Grace, shares lead single "Only A Fool"
Sam Duckworth has announced a new record titled Amazing Grace, and is sharing its lead single "Only A Fool".
The former Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly man hung up his, erm, cape last year, and is releasing the new record under his own name. It's inspired in part by his brush with death after a serious infection from waterborne parasites: "I guess when life takes a strange turn, the only thing you can do is surround yourself with who you love and what you love."
The record will feature a whole host of special guests, including Kate Nash, Gomez, Jehst, Yourcodenameis:milo, The King Blues, Sweet Billy Prilgrim and Megan Washington. It was recorded with 40 different musicians in total.
Amazing Grace is due out 15 June on Alcopop!, AIM's Independent Label Of The Year.
