
Saint Etienne announce new record The Home Counties, share lead single "Heather"
Saint Etienne have announced a new record called The Home Counties and shared the first single, "Heather".
The album, which takes its name from the English regions that surround London - where the members of Saint Etienne were raised - is about the "love/hate relationship people have with 'home'" and follows a day in the life that exists in these areas.
Shawn Lee (Young Gun Silver Fox) produced the album, which was recorded over six weeks in central London. Augustus (Kero Kero Bonito), Carwyn Ellis (Colorama, Edwyn Collins), Robin Bennett (The Dreaming Spires), Richard X (Girls On Top / Black Melody), and longtime collaborator Gerard Johnson (Denim, Yes) all contributed.
