RZA talks new Wu Tang album, final solo record and Ol' Dirty Bastard hologram
Wu Tang Clan’s de-facto leader, RZA has spoken in interview about a whole host of projects upcoming from both himself and his hip-hop collective.
The group will reunite to release A Better Tomorrow next month, recently dropping appropriately-named comeback track ‘The Family Reunion’. In this video interview with Montreality, RZA discusses how that reunion of sorts came about.
He goes on to talk about his long-overdue solo record The Cure, originally written back in the late ’90s and what could be his last solo LP. That’s if it’ll be released as a straight-forward record, however, as it could surface as a book, RZA says.
The interview also sees RZA mention the possibilities of both a Bobby Digital film as well as a live hologram of late member Ol Dirty Bastard, with a projection set to appear with the group at some upcoming live shows. This would mean fans old and new, RZA says, could ”at least get a taste of the enjoyment of Ol’ DB in a physical form, something you can’t touch but at least you can see”.
