Ryan Adams recording in studio with Fall Out Boy
Some people play Trivial Pursuit after dinner, some opt for After-Eight mints. Not Ryan Adams though, he invites people back to his studio to jam. At least that’s what he did for Fall Out Boy recently, ushering them into his Pax-Am Studios for a 48 hour recording marathon.
As Rolling Stone report, Adams recently hooked up with the pop-punk group in Chicago where they laid down ”eight or nine” songs with the singer-songwriter acting as engineer and producer.
As bassist Pete Wentz remarked: ”It was punk rock – the stuff that makes you want to kick the shit out of your bedroom at your parents’ house. It was like hanging out with your older brother that got you into punk rock. Except he gets all the jokes and he’s not like, ‘Here’s these shitty kids’ or whatever. So that was cool.”
Wentz went on to tell that publication that he hopes to release the recordings as a series of 7″ singles in the future, although nothing is set in stone.
Fall Out Boy recently released latest effort Save Rock and Roll in April.
