Ryan Adams drops Jacksonville 7", stream it now
With a marvellous new LP, an astounding Letterman performance, and various skin-peeled-back interviews, it feels like Ryan Adams has probably had very little time to sleep, let alone find time to release more music. Yet, somehow, here we are.
The Jacksonville 7" is a three-track single, part of Adams' singles series, and sees the singer-songwriter depart the chunky rock that his new record employs. Instead, it's back to his rootiest of roots, with some stellar alt. country ponderers about his hometown. Also a bluesy ditty called "Walkedycat", which sees Adams channel Louis Armstrong and purr like a cat. Jury's out on that one.
Have a listen to the tracks below.
