
Rough Trade to open in Bristol, Rise Records to close "at the end of summer"
Bristol is set to get its own Rough Trade store later this year, with the iconic indie taking over local hub Rise Records.
"Rise Bristol is closing its current chapter on its inspiring history," reads a statement posted to social media. "Rough Trade... joined forces with Rise a few years ago, and together we will open an impressive new Rough Trade in Bristol - featuring a café, bar, and incredible live performance space. Rise Bristol will shut its doors at the end of the summer, stay tuned for more information for more information about Rough Trade Bristol..."
Rough Trade will be reportedly moving to Nelson Street in the city centre.
Rise confirmed it was relocating earlier this summer - a firm date on a reopening date as Rough Trade is still elusive, but hopefully we'll have that (and other details) soon.

Although a local institution, Bristol is not Rise's only location, with Worcester and Cheltenham both boasting branches. It seems at this stage as if they will be continuing under the Rise banner.
Rough Trade has stores in London, Nottingham, and New York City. Last year it was announced that the Paris shop would relaunch this year.
