Rough Trade Records sign Melbourne's Amyl and The Sniffers
Emerging as one of Australia's most raucous punk groups, Amyl and The Sniffers have decided to sign a deal with Rough Trade.
The energetic quartet have racked up a vast fanbase having supported the likes of Cosmic Psychos, Foo Fighters, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.
Signing to Rough Trade, the band explain "It's sick to sign with Rough Trade, the label has a great history. Plus hopefully we'll get first pressings of Sleaford Mods' records."
Label mate Jason Williamson from Sleaford Mods commented, "At least they look like they’re scum instead of pretending they are."
The punk group's debut album isn't arriving until 2019, but so far they've released two successful EP's Giddy Up and Big Attractions, both selling out on limited edition vinyl.
Amyl and The Sniffers made their UK debut earlier this year at Brighton's Great Escape festival, and are due to return to the UK next week for a show at London's Moth Club on 25 September. Find out more.
