Roland are rumoured to be reviving arguably their most influential product, the Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer.
The classic drum machine, also known simply as the 808, was launched in the early-80s before being succeeded by the 909 in 1983. It remains today one of the most well-loved and often used drum machines in electronic music and hip-hop.
Now, rumours are circulating online following a statement by Roland hinting that they’re to “take the next step” with the machine. Sources say that the 808 will relaunch in 2014, with a supposed leaked photo above.
