Rock Plaza Central’s Chris Eaton Announces New Book of Fiction, Summer Dates
As we’ve mentioned previously, Rock Plaza Central have taken a little break, but that doesn’t mean they’ve not been busy. Chris Eaton has “another job” writing rather splendid fiction, and has turned his hand back to this during their break from touring.
Canada’s ECW Press is have announced the launch of a new e-book imprint this fall in collaboration with the online literary magazine Joyland, starting with a collection of Eaton’s short fiction entitled Letters to Thomas Pynchon. A collection of early stories and new works, Letters will be released in November for all e-book formats.
And last but not least, Rock Plaza Central are also announcing three festival gigs for the summer of 2010, headlining the NxEW sponsored showcase at Toronto’s NxNE, as well as performing at July’s Winnipeg Folk Festival and the Ottawa Folk Fest in August. The band is also taking further advantage of their time off to start writing new material to record again in the fall.
Festival dates:
June 17 – Toronto – NxNE – Gladstone Hotel
July 9-11 – Winnipeg Folk Festival
Aug 13-15 – Ottawa Folk Festival
