Riz Ahmed announces new album and short film The Long Goodbye
Musician and actor Riz Ahmed has announced his new album The Long Goodbye, which will be accompanied by a short film of the same name.
The Long Goodbye will feature nine tracks that were recorded in London, and is, in Ahmed's own words, a "breakup album - but with your country."

He says of his forthcoming album, "The record is a breakup album - but with your country. So many of us feel like we’re being dumped by the place we call home, a home that we built. This album takes you on the journey of this breakup; through the stages of denial, anger, acceptance, and finally self-love to counter the hate."
The accompanying 11-minute short film is directed by Aneil Karia, who just won a Jury prize at Sundance for his debut feature.
