Rihanna's Fenty fashion line to close its doors less than two years after launch
Rihanna's Fenty fashion line, developed with LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), is closing its doors less than two years after launching.
LVMH will close its doors on Rihanna's Fenty fashion line, but will continue to support Rihanna’s cosmetics companies Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, and her successful lingerie company Savage x Fenty.
Rihanna launched her first Fenty collection with LVMH in 2019, and less than two years on from its launch LVMH said in a statement to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), "Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions."
On continuing to support Rihanna's other companies, LVMH said, "LVMH and Rihanna reaffirm their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of the Fenty ecosystem, focusing on cosmetics, skincare and lingerie."
WWD also notes that a skeleton staff will close up shop at Fenty's Paris headquarters, and the e-commerce site is set to go dark over the coming weeks.
