Rejjie Snow unveils visuals for "Blakkst Skn"
Irish rapper Rejjie Snow has unveiled the visuals for his recent Kaytranada-produced single "Blakkst Skn".
Ian Pons Jewell (Vince Staples, NAO) has directed the new video, which also features guest vocals from Rae Morris.
Speaking about the track, Snow says: “I just found myself staring at walls for the whole day. After I got to the last wall I saw a lady who for some reason I noticed had a black face but her bottom half was white. As I began to ponder I asked her 'hey lady why is yo skin so black' and she simply replied 'the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice' so I wrote the song that evening."
Continuing on the subject of the video, Snow adds: "I feel it's actually the video I've always wanted to make where it's just so weird but still remains intact and concise to where you can make up all your own judgements"
Snow is set to perform at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on 23 March.
