Rare Radiohead demo tape from 1986 at auction for $1,500

An early demo tape from Radiohead, dating back to 1986, is set to hit the auction this September.
Thought to be their first proper recording, from when the band were going by the name ‘On A Friday’ and without guitarist Jonny Greenwood, the tape will go under the hammer at Omega Auctions in Cheshire – expected to fetch $1,500 or more.
It includes nine tracks in all, six previously unreleased numbers (‘Fragile Friend’, ‘Girl (In the Purple Dress)’, ‘Everybody Knows’, ‘Mountains (On The Move)’, ‘Lemming Trail’, and ‘Lock the Door’) as well as a few remixes.
