Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien shares update on illness, says he's "really fine now"
Ed O'Brien of Radiohead has revealed that he's feeling "really fine now" after experiencing potential coronavirus symptoms for the past two weeks.
Last week (23 March), Ed O'Brien posted a statement on his social accounts revealing he had been experiencing "flu-like symptoms for a number of days". He added that it's "most probably coronavirus", and wrote, "I haven't been tested because it's not readily available and I also think the tests are more important and valuable for the vulnerable in our community."
A week on and EOB has shared a video update on his condition via Instagram. In the clip, he says, "I just want to say I’m better. Thank you to everybody who sent such love and lovely messages. I’m really fine now. I had it for about two weeks. I didn’t get tested but I’m pretty certain it was it [coronavirus]."
He goes on to thank the NHS for their hard work, "I just want to send love and strength to all of you that are going through it at the moment, love and strength to our NHS, our amazing NHS and all our health workers and everybody who’s been amazing."
