Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, and more to play Lollapalooza 2016
Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem and loads more have been confirmed for Lollapalooza.
Lana Del Rey, Grimes, The 1975, Haim, M83, Bloc Party, Foals, Vic Mensa, Daughter, Frightened Rabbit, Kurt Vile, Alessia Cara, and loads more are also on the bill.
Speaking about this year's event, founder Perry Farrell (also of Jane's Addiction, who are playing), says:
"I've immersed myself in this experience for 25 years now, but it's in a constant state of evolution, living and breathing. As long as we always try to find the eye of the hurricane, the epicenter of the music that is truly connecting right now, I think we can go for another 25 years! And we'll do it by always making sure to keep it fresh. Four days this year, over 170 of the best bands, including acts from all over the world as the music community connects globally more than ever; the best sound, staging and lights. We promise the festival will always strive to be the 'lifeblood' of the music scene."
The rumour mill went into overdrive earlier this month with the revelation that Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and LCD Soundsystem would be playing - despite doubters, those rumours have proved to be pretty darn accurate.
Lollapalooza 2016 takes place 28-31 July at Chicago's Grant Park.
