R Kelly to release a Christmas album
R Kelly has revealed that he’s currently working on a festive LP called the 12 Nights of Christmas.
Speaking in interview with Rap-Up recently, the R&B performer confirms he’s been spending the last few holidays seasons at work on the release (a la Sufjan Stevens) and that it should drop during 2014.
“It’s gonna be a lot of lovemaking,” Kelly is quoted as saying. “I don’t believe in just putting out a Christmas album just to sell records. It has to be the next . In order to get that and capture that moment, you have to take a couple of Christmases.”
