Michael Stipe, the frontman of R.E.M., has covered David Bowie's "The Man Who Sold The World".
The stripped-back rendition, featuring just Stipe, his beard, and a piano, was performed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
Stipe will perform at New York's Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall this weekend at the star-studded Bowie tribute concerts; the latter concert is being streamed live across the world via Skype.
