Pussy Riot’s Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina have been reportedly arrested by police in Russia, following their release from jail last December.
The pair, who have recently distanced themselves from the punk outfit, were among a number of activists detained by police at the Sochi Winter Olympics. They’ve been accused of hotel theft, a claim they deny.
“We were just walking around Sochi when they grabbed us,” said Tolokonnikova of the incident. “They told us we are suspected of theft. Of course there has been no theft.”
Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina served nearly two years in jail after protesting against President Putin at a Moscow church.
