Pulled Apart By Horses share charity cover of "Ziggy Stardust"
Pulled Apart By Horses have followed in the footsteps of Jamie xx, EL VY, and Madonna... by covering a David Bowie track.
Although the other artists performed their tributes live, the Leeds four-piece have recorded their version of 'Ziggy Stardust' and made it available for download; with all proceeds donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
James Brown from the band said:
On Sunday January 10th, 2016, the world lost one of the most important and influential musicians of all time, David Bowie. Along with the millions of people all over the world who's lives he had touched, we were shocked and saddened to hear the news. We're all huge fans of his work, so at band practice on Monday night we decided to learn and record a tribute to him and his incredible legacy. Here is a cover of one of our favourite tracks, ‘Ziggy Stardust’. All profits from the track will go to Teenage Cancer Trust which is an amazing cause. Long live The Goblin King!
Earlier this week, Rough Trade announced that all profits from sales of Bowie records throughout January would be donated to Cancer Research UK.
The surprisingly poignant tribute from PABH is available through iTunes tomorrow (15 January), and can be heard below.
