Prince postpones European solo piano tour "until further notice"

The venue said that the decision had been made following the terrorist attacks on France on Friday.

BBC News report that La Bataclan, the concert hall where 89 people were killed during the attacks, was a regular destination for Prince: "One of his most legendary aftershows took place there in October 2002, with Prince jamming for two-and-a-half hours on hits including 'Alphabet Street' and 'Peach', while covering Led Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love', Bill Withers' 'Ain't No Sunshine', and a medley of Santana hits. He later released a single featuring that night's performance of 'All The Critics Love U In New York', retitled 'All The Critics Love U In Paris'."

The tour, due to be Prince's first to feature just himself and a piano, had already courted controversy before even launching after Prince pulled the ticket sales at the eleventh hour, although this was later revealed to be due to issues with touting and secondary ticketing sites.
