Most of Prince's back catalogue is now on Apple Music, but Purple Rain isn't
Prince has released his music on Apple Music, ending just over a month of Prince-less iDevice streaming.
There are some notable exceptions, including "Stare", his new single, which remains a Spotify exclusive, Purple Rain, which is an exclusive on Tidal along with some of his other material, and lots of records from his days as The Symbol.
It's a bit of a surprise that The Purple One is sharing his music on Apple's service, after pulling everything last month and throwing his weight behind Tidal. Now that there's an exclusive single on one, and albums on another, is this the beginning of a Prince machinated game to play each major service against each other?
Prince is set to release new LP The Hit & Run Album "very soon" - might be worth placing bets on who you think gets the exclusive on that one.
