Primavera Sound London has been put on hold until 2021
Reports suggest that Primavera Sound is putting its London edition of the festival on hold until 2021.
Back in May, the Primavera Sound site teased two more locations for festivals next year - one in LA, and the other in London.
According to IQ, the London festival has been pushed back to 2021, partly due to the timing constraints and licence conditions.
A source told IQ that it could still be months until organisers obtain the right permits to host the festival in London, "They [organisers] want it to be as perfect as possible. They could organise it for next year, but now the feeling is it’s better to wait until 2021."
The festival was due to be held at The Drumsheds in North London, the same site that Field Day moved to for this year's festival. Primavera London was expected to either merge or replace Field Day, after Field Day founder Tom Baker decided to focus on his promotions company Eat Your Own Ears.
Primavera Sound's two new locations were due to take place next year in celebration of the festival's 20th year.
When asked about the London festival for next year, a Primavera Soun respresentative said thee are "no plans for Primavera Sound in London in 2020."
