The warm and dreamy acoustic folk harmonies that can be found on Kristian Garrard and Luke Bergman’s debut album The Sound of Everything speak for themselves. As the duo Thousands, they have slowly been gathering momentum beyond Seattle’s musical underground since signing to Bella Union a while back.
Taken from their recently released record, the track ‘On and On’ sees a gentle voice soar over delicately plucked guitar strings while the hazy melody narrates a beautifully filmed and annotated video. With plumes of orange smoke, beach piers, abandoned fun fairs, grainy and often de-saturated film, the visuals play out like an indie movie as the soundtrack conjures up vivid nostalgic memories.
